Forums - General - Can someone recommend a good anime for me?

If you want an ending watch the movie afterwards. It is sorta a alt-universe ending though... But I don't see it that way. It is a very weird ending to be sure, and if you have a philosophical vein in you then read into the ending and come up with a crazy explanation yourself.

My take on the ending is... wait I won't spoil it for you.

I've seen Gungrave, the first episode turned me off, but after seeing the second one I was captivated.

Probably because some of my friends were hyping it like crazy.

Would you highly recommend it?
How would you rate it in a scale of 1-10, 10 being the highest?
also throw in FSN and Love Hina in the rating for a point of comparison. TY ^_^

ok rating these three.
FSN: 9.97
Love Hina: 8.6
Evangelion: 100+ j/k ----- it gets a solid 9.0

 

But as further reference, my Wife didn't like it as much... but if you DO watch it. ONLY JAPANESE! English dubs suck.

OK, subs only gotcha.
So its series then movie right after.

I hope you've seen Akira.
Fist of the North Star(as recommended by Quartz) is great aswell.
Anything by Studio Ghibli is also well worth watching.
Urotsukidoji is a good movie series.
I personally like the Guyver serieses(?).

thats right, there are some rumors about a live action movie based on the series as well... the rumor even included the same studio and director behind LOTR movies. Though I don't know if they have gotten anywhere with that.

Watch in this order.
