Forums - Sony - Minecraft Vita getting physical release in Japan 19/03/15, ¥2592; includes voucher for PS3 version

Not particularly thread-worthy but thought I'd post it anyway just for an awareness PoV.  The download version has been top of the charts pretty much every month since it released, so interesting to see how this will do (a bit late to release, though).

So far was download sales (sales) only, the "Mine Craft" of PS Vita, released determined by the PS Vita card version you can buy in the shops (Osaka)!

Release Date is March 19, 2015 (Thursday), price (price) to appear in the yen 2,592 (tax included)!

Of course, PS3® version super deals package also became set as it is!
※ that contains the download code of PS3 version in the package!

Nice! Although a little odd that it gives a code for the PS3 version, why not the PS4 version?

PS3 & Vita versions are exactly the same in terms of world size, I believe.  I think the PS4 & XB1 versions are based on bigger worlds, something like that.

Should do well. It's already at ~115k downloads in Japan.

If you have a PS3/PSV version of Minecraft you get a discount for PS4 version. I'm not sure but I think that PS4 version is 4,99$ if you used the PS3/PSV code.

Wonder what it will sell. It's sold a lot digital in Japan already. Is this published by Sony and if so why?

The EU release also had a code for the PS3 version (and a Digital PSV version). It's because it's a cross buy game with PS3. The PS4 version is different (bigger maps etc.) so though you do get a discount, you still have to buy an extra version.

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.

It's good that a physical version is releasing.
