If Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater and Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence were both announced before either were released and everyone knew there would be a 7 month gap between them, a lot of people would want to wait it out for the complete version instead of opting for the gimped version. Except in a 1up show it was mentioned that it's likely that the new features for the full game will be a downloadable option so it won't be another $60. GT5:Pro is already a downloadable game as well as retail so there's a good chance of the rest being downloadable.

Did the sources the 1Up Show used come from Sony themselves or was it speculation by them? I know it's possible to offer the rest of the game through DLC for early adopters and would be the right thing to do. I just haven't heard a word from Sony regarding the matter as of yet. Everyone I asked on here mentioned that GT5 was an additional purchase on top of GT5 Prologue.
