Frankly, I don't care what it's meta is, I care about what I see with my own eyes, and probably what I hear from folks on here, as well as friends RL w/ PS4's. Metacritic's system is beyond flawed, and nobody should be using it.

Early spring is not the best of times for a release. The game has been delayed too long. "As we look to bring this experience to the players, we have decided to spend some extra time to deliver on the promise we made when we first introduced the game," http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/05/27/the-order-1886-release-date-delayed-to-early-2015 There has been over-promising. What they have shown has looked great but still they hesitated to release it at the best time, before christmas.

Your prediction is fine. Closer than most. Pretty sure most people expected a better story from a cinematic single player only game.
