Ouch, that's a bad miss.

To the people that were yelling at me in the NPD thread, this is why I get confused. A VG veteran is saying bundles are not counted. |
It is confusing because bundles are tracked by NPD but from what I understand NPD seperates bundled copies from standalone copies and leaked figures rarely include both combined. Also the software chart that is released every month by NPD doesn't include bundles. So unless it specifically mentions that it includes bundled copies than it's better to assume it doesn't.
I don't think track-based arcade racing games are popular in USA anymore.
It's $50 for the digital version vs $70 for the physical release in Canada. So I guess digital sales percentage is higher than normal. Yet 84k, Americans don't like racers I guess. They suck at it too.

Got it.
I would imagine that quite a few people are waiting for the free version before they even consider dropping real money on a game with a troubled launch. I know that's how I feel about it. I still think there is some potential for the franchise to build a decent userbase, however, which will determine a lot of things relative to the future of the IP.

The launch was a mess but the game works fine now. Its actually been improved with the weather update and all the free DLC cars and tracks.
Wouldn't be surprised if the majority of interested gamers in the US are still holding out for the PS+ version, which is kind of pathetic considering one can just go out and rent the damn game to see if it's worth a buy. I passed on it purely because racing games are boring to me, don't care how pretty it is.
4000 ratings on the US PSN store. That's just those who rated the game. My guess is 40k bought it digitally.
Racing games that arent Gran Turismo arent very popular around these parts. The price keeps getting discounted($30 all throughout December) as well, maybe people are waiting for rock bottom.
Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.
Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.
