Forums - PC - Starcraft II to Lead Way for In-game Advertising?

This is the ONLY time in my life in-game advertising can't scare me. I mean, it's SC2. Fuck, they know it! Dammit. They know they can get away with it! I hope it's not on the billboards on the maps.

There is already in game advertising in all the other Blizzard games that use Battle.net. While not in a game but in Battle.net there is an advertisement banner on the top of the screen, I think they could just be referring to this.

I think so too, it would make alot more sense. Blizzard are probably the last devs to ever need revenue from advertisement. Advertisement through banners on Battle.net is non-intrusive and keeps everyone happy.

Damn, this could suck hard.

how is that possible?

Are they going to say "Pepsi Building needed" or "Ford Focus, reporting for duty"?

lol... that's great, I need to say that to someone I know randomly now....

If Activision has enough say over the game to determine that they want to do in-game advertising for it, then this game isn't for me.

Is this the beginning of the end of quality Blizzard games?
Im worried about the exact same thing

Blank? Blank.

That is exactly it, the person who did the interview got the game and battle.net mixed up, but the advertisements will be in the battle.net lobby like it always has.
