Well, there's no reason to deny it. It's a common joke here that God is Argentinian. Just like it's common to call all spaniards "gallegos". It's the way it is

I dunno, of course, nobody actually believes that, it's just that (and I recognize it) we tend to think high of ourselves, like as if we are the best of the world, then we have Maradona (which is usually referred as Dios, or D10S), so the phrase "Maradona es argentino" -> "Dios es argentino". It's just a joke
