Well now that Marvel is not partnering with Capcom, what will be their next move? It's not healthy for their businnes to have the biggest stable of characters, on par with DC and Nintendo, and not explore them. Mainly in the fighting genre, since almost the entire Marvel universe is full of masked fighters.
Warner Bros. buyout of Midway team was a stroke of genius, and helped both parties. If now probably unlimited resources, Mortal Kombat become relevant again, and Injustice was the first DC game that did not suck at all. They might not have the deep fighting mechanics from Street Fighter to say, but I thought the way they handled the story is unparalleled in fighting games, no wonder why, since the scripts were done by DC writers.
Question 1: Who would you want that Disney in their infinite power to approach or buyout to make a fighting game?
Question 2: What others genres do you want to see their characters, and who could develop?
Personally I would like a Fighting Game done by Sega AM2, the same team who handled Virtua Fighter 5.
Platinum Games doing a Spider Man game also sounds fine to me.
