thanks for the info.
Best games on PS3 will come out at the end of this year or some time next year. since I'm not ready to go BR yet, I'll wait till PS3 drops it's price and good games come out.

Jeez, where do I get in line to give Sony a blow job? Seems to be the big thing here.
Some of the disses against the 360 are bordering on ridiculous (such as the 360 having more highly rated games but those are less fun than PS3 and Wii games).
| windbane said: In fairness, the 360 had Ninja Gaiden 2, heh. Future possible third-party exclusives include Mass Effect, Bioshock, and Bungie titles, but 2 of those are independant now so we'll see. |
Mass Effect will not be an exclusive franchise. Same with BioShock. If another one comes out, it will most likely be Multi-Plat. Same with Gears of War 3 (Epic was only on the hook to make 1 and 2 exclusive).
Bungie will most likely make MS only games, but the only IP MS owns is Halo (and all it's spinoffs). Bungie is free to make any game they feel like, but will most likely keep making MS exclusives. If they do branch out, it will most likely be on a portable, or the Wii. I don't see them making any PS3 games.
I would expect that going forward, we will see less and less AAA exclusives on the 360, as the sales trend leads me to think that it will be grossly outsold by the end of it's lifetime.
To get back OT, MS's biggest failing is cost. If Sony in two years can get the PS3 to $199, and MS is still at $299, they can say goodbye to sales. Both have there pluses. Sony is in a much better position to negate Microsoft's then Microsoft is to negate Sony's. MS has XBL. Sony is doing there best to make something as good (Home). MS is cheeper. Sony is quickly looking to overcome that. Sony on the other hand has BR. MS has no answer. Sony has MGS, GT, FF, and a much stronger lineup of casual games. MS at the moment has no answer. Sony has reliability. MS has no answer.
As a gammer, I want them both to win, because if they do, I win. Sadly, I don't see MS holding up its end of the fight very well :(
Ok, now I am going to bed!

PS3 are being bought as Blu-Ray players. The best titles are yet to come for PS3. A lot more quality games are out for XBox 360 at the moment and XBox 360 has a better online service. |
LOL the ignorance.
360 user base is double of PS3 in USA, no DUHHH software will be 2-1

We already have speculation that MS ceded PC publishing rights for ME 1 to EA in return for ME2 exclusivity, it looks like Bioshock 2 is going to stay exclusive based on rumours, and if you think MS is letting go of GeoW3 your joking, unless GeoW2 bombs. They will pay for it like Sony is paying for FFXIII exclusivity and MGS4 timed exclusivity.
As for cost, the only time you will see entry level PS3's below entry level Xbox 360's is once MS drops 360 support, if ever.
starcraft - Playing Games = FUN, Talking about Games = SERIOUS
Both PS3 and XBox 360 have good games available. To say that PS3 is the only console with AAA titles to come out in the future is crap. XBox 360 have plenty of AAA titles on the way: Gears of War 2, Fable 2, Ninja Gaiden 2 and Bioshock 2, etc.
PS3 is the only winner for a hardcore gamer. =)
Every 5 seconds on earth one child dies from hunger...
2009.04.30 - PS3 will OUTSELL x360 atleast by the middle of 2010. Japan+Europe > NA.

Gran Turismo 3 - 1,06 mln. in 3 weeks with around 4 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Gran Turismo 4 - 1,16 mln. with 18 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Final Fantasy X - around 2 mln. with 5 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Final Fantasy X-2 - 2.4 mln. with 12 mln. PS2 on the launch.
1.8 mln. PS3 today(2008.01.17) in Japan. Now(2009.04.30) 3.16 mln. PS3 were sold in Japan.
PS3 will reach 4 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 25k.
PS3 may reach 5 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 50k.
PS2 2001 vs PS3 2008 sales numbers =) + New games released in Japan by 2009 that passed 100k so far

That's a bit presumptuous, eh? Sony most certainly payed for MGS4 exclusivity, but we don't know if it was timed or permanent. I'm leaning towards the latter, because MGS4 probably would've been at least timed even if Sony hadn't forked up a cent.

Wait wait wait...WHAT!?! Since when!?! I never knew this!
*looks at sales charts*
Holy crap! You're right!
