I think 2016 will be the peak year for PS4 and Xbox One (with PS4 slightly ahead of Xbox One). 2015 however, will by a small margin be the peak year for Wii U.

Like 2015 will be PS4's peak year, don't get me wrong it's 2015 line-up is awesome, but it may not include Guerrilla's new IP, GOW will be coming later, tonnes of Sony's developers haven't even announced anything yet.

As much as I think GT7 will probably be coming out in 2015 it may get pushed back to 2016.

I think Pachter's forgotten that while PS3's second year was great, 2009 brought Infamous, Uncharted 2, Killzone 2, Demon's Souls. In 2010 the system had GT5, GOW 3, Heavy Rain.

All of the later years also had huge 3rd party releases complementing those exclusive line-ups too.

No 2016 will be when PS4 probably starts to hit it's stride, but considering the likes of TLOU didn't come until 2013 I'd say peak year could very well be much later in the system's life.

That's about as bold as predicting the sun will rise tommorow.

So now we know X1 is gonna destroy the PS4 in terms of games.

i dont know the release dates for any of the PS4 exclusives, and i dont know what all of them are. Sony needs to attack MS head on by releasing the order the second wk of Nov., and uncharted BF, and bundle them both with special edition consoles.

That made me laugh so hard. Xbox One managed to win one month in just two countries this year, so next year could be really close. Sure....

Apart from that it makes some good points, PS4's line up for next year is amazing

The PS4 lineup in 2015 is basically catch up for a shitty holiday lineup in 2014.
LBP3 as the only exclusive in that time is just bad.

Yeah $2 2D sidescrolling Indies don't justify a $400 machine.

Wii U still has exclusives I want though, will be picking one up early next year and probably an XB1 halfway through.
