IBM sell systems based on cell processors don't they? Why would you buy a PS3 with it's hypervisor that limits it's functionality in Linux. Unless they are getting a full PS3 dev kit to use full system resources. Or a PS3 with no hypervisor!

Is this like when Japanese Govt. wouldn't allow the PS2 to be exported from Japan, because it might be a threat to their National Security? ;-p (when the PS2 was first released and only available in Japan)

Why don't they use the Wii PowerPC? It's a very underestimated processor, probably even more powerful than the Cell processor due to efficiency. Are the US Air Force biased? It's pretty obvious they haven't done any research at all and hate Nintendo. GOSH idiots.

Yeah, I've heard the Wii PPC is much faster because it's copper not aluminium... IBM found this new property of copper that allows it to run over 30 instructions per clock cycle :)
