I thought that the fact that the presenters were all either developers/publishers/other people involved in games really set the tone well - as opposed to a bunch of celebrities who know nothing about the industry. I thought that it was really a celebration of games and gamers and it really made the industry look good, yknow? Deleting all those odd, stupid stereotypes that everyone else has..

I appreciated that the music/performance parts were still game centered and not just random stuff taken from places. I loved the fact that the Mario composer Koji Kondo was there playing at the start of the show. I especially very much appreciated the sort of lifetime achievement award they gave to the founders of Sierra.

The world premieres were nice, but nothing I hadn't seen before (except the new King's Quest). Overall, however, I thought it was a really good show and I look forward to watching it again next year.

Your thoughts?

It was better than last years so it already won against something! I did love that Zelda U, Mario Maker, SFV exclusive as well as a few other things there were in there so yea, it was pretty good

I gave it a 7/10 overall. There have been better VGA's in the past, but this blew VGX from last year out of the water. Really the only things that I docked points for were the lack of new AAA announcements and the annoying crowd; the music, the awards, the indie reveals, etc. were all good imo.

I thought all the VGAs on Spike were crap. Can you tell me which one was actually good?

I felt it dragged on for too long. 2 hours tops would have been perfect, still was a nice show i liked it :)

Edit: Bayonetta 2 was robbed, but nice show

I liked the show... altough they gave too much mic time to presenters... the part I didn't like were some of the choices... even if SSB on 3DS wasn't the prettier version I couldn't see it losing for best HH game.

Robbed? No.

Dragon Age was clearly the best game this year, without question.
