Saw this on another forum, thought it was funny. On EA's Digital Content Service for the PC (like Steam), they now have a new feature when you buy a game:

What is the "Extended Download Service," you ask?

What this means: you buy the game, and get no disk, no manual, no box. That's normal for digital distribution. The awesome part is that you get to pay 5 dollars extra in order to redownload the game, ever! If your hard drive fries, or you need to reformat, you will need to pay 5 extra dollars to play again, since you don't have a hard disk to reinstall afterwards.
I just love their positive spin on it, too. They'll "keep a copy of my file for two full years, so I don't have to?" Thanks for thinking of me, EA! I knew you cared.
