eh Minecraft outsold most AAA games last gen. In fact it's aparently the 4th highest selling game of all time http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_best-selling_video_games. Most people want to play League of Legends and Candy Crush.

Nobody bough a console for mincraft



PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m
