Forums - Gaming - Prediction: all current-gen consoles/handhelds will receive price cuts in 2015

Well like the title says, I think all the 8th gen devices will receive price cuts next year.

Playstation 4-$299.99

Xbox One-$299.99

Wii U-$229.99

2DS-$99.99, New 3DS-$129.99, New 3DS XL-$149.99

Playstation Vita-$149.99, Playstation TV-$99.99 (with controller/game/memory card, no more standalone bundle)

Anybody agree/disagree?

I think so

Wouldn't doubt it but $229 for the wiiU? That sounds like a weird number

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

I don't think that Sony can afford to cut the price of the PS4 by that much, I expect a $50 pricedrop. - $350
Microsoft has been selling Xbones like hotcakes lately, so I don't think they'll drop its price by that much. - $350
Wii U, comes with an useless kiddy tablet toy so, I can't see them dropping the price by that much. - $240/$260

I agree with the handhelds.

I'm now filled with determination.

I don't agree, i don't see ps4 having a price cut,it's sold well and i think it will outsold xb1 even if it's get a price cut,and i don't see a psvita price cut too because it won't improve it's sales so Sony will focus on profitability more then sale

PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

Ya $199 seems too low and $249 is too close to PS4/XB at $299. If they don't go down to $299 and stay at $349-$399 then $249 sounds plausible

The PS4 is probably the least likely to get a price cut and even if it does I doubt it'll be a $100 price cut. I expect it to be probably $50.
