Sales fall for all consoles, but the drop will be the most severe on the X1, especially if the pricecut is temporary. I mean the first 8 months of 2015 are going to be awkward for the X1 with the exception of February where Evolve, Dying Light, and The Witcher 3 will come out.

With Screamride, State of Decay, maybe Ori and bunch of Indie/Arcade titles. Couple those with other titles that have yet to be given a release date.

The problem is that list pales in comparison to what the PS4 will offer next year. Thanks to the delay of Bloodborne, the PS4's exclusives are spread out more evenly: The Order in Feb, Bloodborne in March, and MLB 15: The Show in April. There's also Planetside 2, Wild, The Tomorrow Children, Tearaway Unfolded, and more coming out.

I don't see where it pales in comparison to what PS4 has to offer even with what you said above.

The Order and Bloodborne are unproven games so we'll have to wait to confirm their success.

Xbox also showed a lot of interesting Indie games to be released next year like Cup Head, Ghost of a Tale, Smite, etc...

Well, The Order and Bloodborne are also interesting and those indie games you've mentioned are also unproven. It's a two-way street. Not to mention, Bloodborne is a spiritual sucessor to Demon's Souls and Dark Souls, which have proven to be good games. In other words, I'm not sure what you're trying to get at because Sony is offering more 1st party-wise as well as getting healthy support from 3rd parties and indies. You can say X1 is getting plenty of indies, but you also need to acknowledge that the same applies to the PS4.

EDIT: And I also forgot to mention Rime, Hellblade, Everybody's Gone to the Rapture, N++, and The Witness. Sorry, but there are just too many games for me to remember from my head

Look if you can't see how the games he listed for PS4 CLEARLY trump the games you listed for X1, then their is no point in continuing this conversation because you clearly have clouded judgement.

I believe January will have a drop bigger than last year.

Expect one of the lowest NPDs January ever (excluding Wii U).

Something around 100k... that means less than 200k WW.

It's not a two way street, its really one. Most games you and me pointed are just interesting at this point and doesn't have any merit to be put on a pedestal. Even if they're spiritual sucessors (which doesn't mean anything but brand recognition). That's where I'm trying to get at.

Saying Sony is offering more is early. Not all game release dates have been revealed yet so ease on that trumpet.

It's going to be up YoY if they keep it at $350.

If the price goes back up, 200k-250k.

Won bet with t3mporary_126 - I correctly predicted that the Wii U's LTD at the end of 2014 would be closer to 9 million than 10 million. http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=6673287

Um, it is a two-way street, man. The difference is that Sony has shown more of what the PS4 will offer. Whether it be F2P (Planetside 2), indie (Rime, The Witness, and Everybody's Gone to the Rapture), sandbox (The Tomorrow Children), hack n' slash (Hellblade), TPS (The Order: 1886), and even sports (MLB 15: The Show), the PS4 is delivering on all phases of the game. Not to mention, we have been given plenty of info on most of these games in forms of dev diaries, gameplay footage, or preview articles. People attending PS Experience can play The Witness and several other upcoming games. Meanwhile, I have never heard a bunch of those games that you've listed and looking them up online, I'm not very impressed.

No way this will happen unless many people will return theire consoles bought for Christmas. That would result in negative sales for the January tracking period.
0,1% Chance for this to come true, because scalper would not take the risk to buy Xbox Ones in the second year Christmas. So the return rate will be normal. Also the Xbox One is a solid product if we talk about issues and manufacturing quality. No big returns because of hardware failure.

Just as a question. You are not really 100% serious about this, or? Otherwise i would like to know the reasons for that weired assumption.

lulz. the price isn't going back up to $400 in january. ms is just manufacture "value" for the holidays. $70 off of msrp is an amazing black friday doorbuster!! while $30 off of msrp is quite forgettable.
