If you've wondered how RoomAlive might be utilized beyond simple gaming experiences, Microsoft Research has produced a video demonstrating one type of gaming experience possible with the technology.
RoomAlive isn't a commercial product, just a technology demonstration. It utilizes several depth cameras as well as video projectors in order to provide an immersive entertainment experience. What it offers, however, is a Disney-like experience in the living room.

What I'm particularly impressed with is the use of lighting. The flashlight, allowing you to see in dark spaces revealing things you may not want to see, lightning, and the ability to have something jump out of a dark corner and scare the living crap out of you.
