I believe they should take a hint from the PS3 and avoid tacking on motion sensing on their console just for the sake of competing with the Wii.

I don't think the PS3 is gaining any edge by having motion controls, and I don't think the 360 would get an edge either.

I love the PS3 motion control.

u aim at the screen to shoot where u wanna shoot with pixel-perfect accuracy

nunchuk joystick is used for moving

Bets:Missed by 420k I bet leo-j vg$500 that wii will sell 31 million by 7/31/08.  Sorry, I don't think he has enough vg$ to make it with all of u that wish you could. Hit, with room to spare I bet kingofwale a 1-week ban that wii Americas ltd sales>360 Americas ltd sales as of the numbers for week ending 7/05/08 (using vgchartz homepage #s)

Predictions:

Wii will sell 18-20mil by 12/31/07  CHECKWii will sell 45mil+ WW by 12/31/08Wii will surpass PS2 sales WW by 11/17/11 (5yr anniversary)Wii Fit will hit 12mil sales in 2009MKWii+SSBB+Wii Fit+SMG > 50 mil sales by 2010 > gta4+mgs+gt5+ff13+haze+lbp

the 360 controler just doesnt suit that kind of technology.

also with it failing in sony's controller, i dont think they should even try,.

what i dont get, is that many 360 owners always say the wii controls suck, so why would microsoft do something that their consumers dont like

^^ so true

I think controllers are 2 be outdone eventually by your hands in the context of the controller UI. Take a mapping camera and use ur finger to point at a weapon, etc, pick it up, fire, hell this could be ultimate charades... or maybe I'm just a futurist. Rumble support would need gloves though, like Minority Report.

aim with a mouse is still superior to wiimote, but u don't use mice on consoles

wiimote is by far the best for shooters on a console

I guess it a matter of taste but I rather just use a PS3 or 360 controller than trying to aim at the wii-bar above my TV. I never was crazy about light guns since Duck Hunt. With the wii-mote the aim is a little off compared to light guns.

Motion sensing is a nice feature, but not everyone want to wave their arms around like a jackass to play a game and to much shovel ware on the Wii does that.

Old news but relevant:

Oh and I think that a controller would still be a usable UI for the console
