Forums - Microsoft - Phil Spencer says Fall 2015 Will Be “Crazy”; Might have to move around some Game release Dates

During the newest episode of Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb’s Podcast  Microsoft’s Xbox Division head Phil Spencer had something quite interesting to share about the Holiday season 2015:

Spencer also mentioned that it’s good that game releases are spreading out through the year, as it’s positive and more healthy for the industry if publishers and first parties find success at different times instead of shipping too many titles in a crowded period.

He also explained that gamers always have an appetite for news, asking when they’re going to see more about games like Phantom Dust or Quantum Break, which is why he talks a bit about the future. He also joked with Hryb about the “not so small” contingency of customers asking about Shenmue.

He then talked about the Holiday price cuts for the Xbox One:

It’ll definitely be interesting to see if Microsoft will manage to improve the competitive situation with the Holiday price cuts. As a personal note, while Spencer and Hryb were definitely joking about Shenmue, it’s quite interesting to see how often the name comes up from both the Microsoft and the Sony sides…

I feel 2014 was a year of disappointment in the games' industry. Titanfall, Watch Dogs, Destiny, and several other hyped-up games were all mediocre. Not bad, just OK.

2015 should be better. Witcher 3, Uncharted 4, Halo 5, Bloodborne, Heavensward (If that counts as a game) and so much more!

Well... I am sure there will be surprises as well as delays so I will remain skeptical

Titanfall is an amazing FPS!  Cool it's your opinion but I repectfully disagree because I seeit thrown out there often here.

The gameplay was great! But the amount of content was severely lacking in my opinion. (Only 1 or 2 guns of each type, only 3 Titans, no single-player, etc.) I like games that have plenty of content to play with, otherwise I'll get bored quickly.

ANyone have a list of games announced but not released?
As far as we know there's quantum break, crackdown, and halo 5?
Pretty sure they haven't announced anything else.

I'm skeptical

I'm skeptical

Halo 5

Quantum Break

Scalebound

Tomb Raider

Crackdown

Fable Legends (Most likely not Fall)

Phantom Dust (Most likely moving to 2016)

Gears (2016)

Also, there's unannounced new IPs for E3, Forza 6, Banjo and looking like a Gears collection so don't be so skeptical.
