Forums - PC - Windows Vista SP1?

Yeah, I know I'll get thrashed for asking this, but does anyone know when the first Service Pack for Vista is going to be released? They say on the Microsoft site that it's Q1 2008, but I was wondering if it's anytime soon.

The reason I'm asking about it is because I read on the PDF explaining about the features the SP1 has. There is a driver upgrade for your wireless card and software. See, if I run LimeWire for a good while, it eats up my Internet and I'm unable to IM or surf the web. Then I have to restart my laptop just to use the Internet again. It's been doing that for awhile now (I have LimeWire running so I can download some music for work; I have nature songs that I use at the daycare I work at for activities), so I was wondering if when the SP1 is released, would it probably fix it.

What are your thoughts? Oh, and there's an updated part for DirectX 10 so it'll be DirectX 10.1.

I remember seeing a thread months ago that it was released already.
Just run windows update.

That same exact thing happens to my laptop too. The internet will just cut off, then after a restart, everything will be fine. But I don't have limewire.

I have no idea what you guys are talking about.
I even use my Vista laptop for torrenting and I've never experienced that problem.

For all the complaints I hear everywhere about Vista i've been using it for a while now and I love it. It's been solid and I haven't had a single crash yet. And I don't even play PC games so i'm not just using it for DX10 either.

Yeah, P2P programs seems to just suck up your Internet connection at times. Since yesterday I've been having LimeWire running and it hasn't eaten my connection at all...
