I Want to buy Gt4 from my friend but he sais it wont work on 80gb Ps3.

Will work and Will it have mayor effects on the gameplay ??

Works on my 160GB (60GB original) PS3, but then again, it has full backwards capability.

Cuz their is backward compatibility issue with the game on ps3. Do you have it and does it play well on 80gb ps3?

Why don't you ask your friend if you can borrow the game to make sure it will work. Like I said on the 60GB it has no problems, and I don't see why it wouldn't work with the 80's software simulation.

Ok I will but i know it works on a 60gb but at official website it states several thing wrong on 80gb plus I just want to know if it will affect gameplay?

Gameplay for me seemed to be exactly the same as when I played on PS2.

Some poster here compiled a list of high profile games that had crippling bug on the 80gb PS3 and Gran Tursimo 4 was on the list. I can't remember exactly what it was, but I do seem to recall GT4 being in my "definatly not playable" list based on what he described. I will try to remember the post or at least the poster but it was a little while ago. I wanna say it was someone like Bod who made the list.

Throughout the Introductory FMV sequence, the FMV plays at approximately 85% of the normal performance speed.

During various Demo FMA sequences, the vehicles do not navigate the track as intended.

Throughout gameplay, extraneous graphics randomly appear at the top-left corner of the screen.

At a specific point during gameplay, the title hangs.
