That's my problem, apparently there is no known solution at this point.

Upgrading slims to 3.90 seems to fix some PSP's; mine is not a slim.

Sony has acknowledged this is a problem (for quite a few people, apparently), they just have no idea what's causing it at the moment.

 Well like I said, your IQ must be pretty low to think the PS Store, the OFFICIAL online download service for Sony's Playstation 3 console is not safe, or that if it wasn't safe no one would have posted about it.

And no, I was not and am not a spoiled kid, I haven't been able to purchase a new game in almost 2 months due to not having the funds.
