Forums - Gaming Discussion - Anonymous Assassin's Creed Unity Dev Says "PS4 Couldn't Handle 1080p"

I have bolded the parts that clearly show signs of a nerve being struck as the points "You" Brought up clearly had nothing got to do with what i was saying. For instance where did i say anything about how console devs where going to start making games for high end GPU's such as titan Z's etc??.

So you think bringing up arguments that contradict your narrative is stricking a nerve?? Unless i have shown sings of annoyance and anger, I fail to see how your post struck a nerve with me lol.

I brought up the GPUs to prove MY point, it doesnt have to be directly related to the things you said

Anyhow like i said people dont need to buy high end GPUs now to match the performance of a PS4 or X1 and heres another little thing for you that whole thing about "PC users will need to keep upgrading their PC's to stay up with consoles" is bullshit and has been for the longest time. If you build a computer thats more powerful then the PS4 or X1 now it will "Always" be more powerful,

Yeah, I'd like to see a more powerfull PC from 2006 run COD: Ghosts as well as X360 does. It probably wouldnt be able to run it at all. Consoles are dedicated devices, optimazed to last the entire generation, since the graphic standard is set by the consoles, they'll never feel outdated until the succesros come out. In fact, I'd like to see a slightly  more powerull PC from 2013 running the game from 2018 as well as PS4 will

the same was true lastgen too except lastgen it took a lot more money to buy a PC that was more powerful then the X360/PS3 until around 2-3 years after (The x360), but this gen thats not the case. Also im happy your glad with the jump from lastgen to this gen.

For that to be the case this gen, the console would need to have 3000$ expensice GPUs which isnt feasible by any means

Me i would of been more happy if even one of the console makers had to go all out like they did lastgen and made the jump as big as it was from PS2 to PS3

The jump from PS3 to 4 was bigger than the jump from 2 to 3, if we look at the raw numbers only.

but that didnt happen and that was a let down for me, if you dont like me speaking my mind on this issue or if thats not a problem for you

If you expected that the next gen consoles will be the most powerfull hardware for 2-3 years, then it is your fault for having unrealistc expectations. And i have no issue with you speaking your mind, i have issue with your repetative narrative of bashing the consoles in every thread related to their graphcs by spewing the same old strawmans and drive by liners every time

then just dont be trying to bait me into conversations with you if it means by me speaking my mind your going to try paint me as a "Nintendo Fanboy or a PC Fanboy"

I didnt paint you as a fanboy, I simply pointed out your posting hisotry regarding the consoles and PC

when i have always owned multi consoles and always liked gaming on console more then PC but that changed 6 years into lastgen when the was no signs of a new console and when it was getting just as cheap to build a more powerful Gaming PC then it was to buy a PS3 or X360,

Which is to be expected from 6 year old hardware

So im sorry i was let down by all 3 companys this gen (Lastgen it was only Nintendo who let me down) and that none of the console makers met my expectations for the Nextgen,

...which were wildy unrealistic

but if your happy with that jump good for you!. But by me speaking my mind is not me being a fanboy to one system or another (And im pretty sure if i was such a big Nintendo fan like you make me out to be id already have a WiiU) its just me being let down by what Nextgen has giving me.

Around the Network

The new consoles certainly are an improvement in many ways, though I am a little sad that the CPU situation was so poor. I guess Intel was too expensive, as a dual-core Intel is faster CPU-wise than this 8-core netbook CPU (disregarding iGPU).

Intel + Discrete AMD/NV GPU would have been a lot better, but also a ton more expensive.

Just sticking with AMD though, something like a ~3Ghz 4 or 6 core Piledriver + Discrete 7870, along with a $10 ARM Quad-Core SOC (for multitasking in idle mode, low-power tasks, etc) and two pools of memory for system and GPU could have been more beefy (and undeniably more expensive).

It's telling that the Jaguar's single-threaded performance was beat by the PS3 CPU (and almost certainly the X360 CPU as well), and has to depend heavily upon multithreaded ability to get things done.

I can guarantee you this : low CPU performance will be something that is noted and complained about by devs for the entire gen, because no matter HOW good you code, low single-threaded performance is a serious pain in the ass if your project is ambitious enough. The X1 and to a greater extent the PS4's GPU sides are actually pretty good, but the CPU side of things is ... rough.
