Not as epic as the E3 2013 trailer but it does show off the open world of this game.

Btw, that last bit with Noctis saying, `It`s been a long time coming, almost there..`

That line gave me goosebumps!

EDIT: Maybe with Nomura stepping down signifies that KH3 could come out sooner..?

OMG. Maybe they will travel to the moon, like Final Fantasy IV? Who knows? I want this game!

That looks amazing!!!!!! Sooo much open space! Wait... Tetsuya is stepping down? SHITTTTT

Some of the environments look like they need a bit more personality, and the car jaggies make me think they're using FXAA, but those character models are absolutely stunning.

Also why does the lighting look so damn dark in many spots of that trailer? In some places it's perfectly fine, and then others it's like you can barely see anything like someone set a brightness slider all the way down or something. Weird.

Meh. This game could easily run on the Wii U.

Another Zero alt?

Too bad "almost there" in this case probably means 2-3 more years of development.

Watch them rebrand this game as something else again and the actual FFXV ending up being a totally different game lol.

Ehhhh, I`ll say another year..  xP

And LOL, that would be terrible project management on Square`s part.

Uhm, ...okish. Couple of thoughts, it does indeed feel like Xenoblade with wheels. The party looks like very generic, but it does feel like they have taken a different route, and they stress that it is in development, so it's too early to call the heros lame.

Something about cars, and giant beasts just doesn't feel right.

I think they need to put some extra "in development" just to make it super clear :p

looks exactly like Xenoblade to me

In expansiveness, sure (well maybe, anyway, it could just be bullshots like Gran Pulse for FXIII), but I am looking at the combat shown and that was all over the place and seemingly completely unstructured. The combat in Xenoblade is built very similarly to an MMO's combat mechanics and balanced accordingly... this looks very much like the ATB System gone full-open... and that was a bizarrely weird system if nothing else.

X will be out before this ever is, and that will definitely set the bar. It will be interesting to see the end result of that confrontation.

unbelievable...

This is not fair for Nomura. Himself and his team has sacrifice development time for FFXV (FFvXIII) to help make FFXIII/FFXIII-2/FF-Lightning Return and to rebound FFXIV:ARR.

This is what I think really happen.. SE want FFXV to go multiplatform, therefore Nomura couldn't achieve his full vision by focusing on one console, so he step down for like boss..

I doubt it's that at all. Design wise the game should be pretty much complete now (as should the story), so it's just a matter of building the assets and putting it all together. Nomura isn't really necessary for that, so it's best he concentrate his efforts on the game further back in development.

They showed footage of it running on PS3 a few years back in tgs behind closed doors. Man I wonder how he feels to have all that years of work scrapped.

Shouldn't you be happy?  It probably means he's done everything he needs to for the game and now can focus 100% on KH3.  Looks like a good sign on the progression of the games development.

Anyone notice how much the MC looks like Sasuke from Naruto?
