Forums - Gaming Discussion - The Wisdow of 13 x 33 Part II

http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=174260

So X1 have released in the other European countries and some of the rest of the world. And now we can have a better picture of the wisdow of 33 x 13.

By VGC numbers ending September 6th 2014 X1 sold extra 28k in Europe in 13 countries, 15k+- in 4 countries RoW and 25k in Japan... Meaning that when having 31 countries added on launch it got 68k extra sales for those countries...

That certainly puts things in perspective right? Those extra 20k consoles that X1 got to sell in US during the launching period shortage (1-1.5Month for X1) would mean like 100-150k for X1, while the other 18 countries they left for the first week of September (and the other Tier 2) would add less selling if we go by VGC numbers.

So in the end MS was the smarter one by releasing in just 13 countries??? Now we just have to see how much sells PS4 lost by relesing in 33 countries and then going for like 80 countries in total so we can see the size of the dumbness of Sony decision.

I'm using Kowen hypothesis, if by not releasing in other countries MS secured more stock to sell in US granting them 100-150k extra sells while the new countries just brought 68k then Sony by releasing in 33 then going for 80 may have lost a lot of sales (by Kowen logic)... So how dumb were Sony for spreading to thin and how smart was MS by concentrating a lot?
