Forums - Gaming - Lack of day 1 Reviews of Destiny is a joke

That's the entire reason we read and go to review sites. In order to help us make a buying decision which is normaly made on the day of release of a new game. I understand that a full review and the entire game can't be enjoy until the server are full but Partial reviews and on going reviews should have at least been release by now.

Did Bungie create a boring dud that doesn't hold up and tried to over achieved. When World of warcraft was release, reviewers had not experience the final content and the world wasn't as populated as the final version. But they were able to give us a sense of the experience and make a recommendation. Bungie is controlling the media since there so much hype about this game that negative reviews could hurt the initial sales.

I'm very intrigue with this game and would love to hear early impression of Destiny. There so many aspect to the game that can be covered, the graphic, the cinematic, the AI, The weapons, Sounds and feels. You don't need a fully populated world in order to give early impression. It's when you have a dud or a glitchy game like watch dogs that you want to prevent all reviews before the release of the game. Well if you look at the score watch dogs wasn't really a broken game... it just had it's flaws and strenght.

The reviews don't go out trying to kill a game, they simply let gamers know what to expect.

If you still are unsure if your money is worth a purchase you can wait a few days.

Having said that I fully support and appreciate reviewers finally wising up and not reviewing games with such a strong online component before release. Anyone remember BF4? Yep, that's the reason why pre release reviews of online games are garbage.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Reviews should be released a few days later. Day 1 reviews are actually joke. This is why guys like angry joe has more credibility than ign.

Day 1 reviews are idiotic anyway, most of them get it horribly, horribly wrong because they're attempting to review a massive title in a short period of time, just to get the first review out there for click-bait. Imagine a day 1 review for World of Warcraft, as an example. You'll see allot in those hours you play, but nowhere near the entire game.

Or, take a glance at the Skyrim day 1 reviews. A hot mess at launch, completely overlooked by reviewers in the rush to get that first review out. That it got 10's, from anyone, is really the only proof you need.

Probably filled with lags and glitches

Destiny won me over with the beta and alpha, I dont need to see a review to know that I am going to love it!

Day 1 reviews are worthless, as are pre-release reviews of online-dependent titles. Anyone who was on the fence about the game probably isn't losing sleep about waiting for good impressions about it.

Have some time to kill? Read my shitty games blog. http://www.pixlbit.com/blogs/586/gigantor21

:D

The servers for the reviewers went live just a few hours ago. Tomorrow's reviews will be a joke.

Reviews themselves are a joke. I mean, do you really need someone to tell you if you're going to like something? I've read rave reviews for games and totally hated the game and vice versa. Are people going to cancel their Destiny pre-orders now that there are no day 1 reviews?

PC GAMING: BEST GAMES. WORST CONTROLS

A mouse & keyboard are made for sending email and typing internet badassery. Not for playing video games!!!

I think you are confused. You complain about lack of Day One reviews, but there will be plenty of them. Tomorrow morning!
Because Day one is tomorrow!
