Forums - Gaming - Microsoft Mocks Sony With "Destiny Fragrance"

I think the funniest thing about all this is how everybody is pretending that Tom cruise is a shit actor just because he believe in a whako religion when actually most of his movies are pretty decent compared to the shit they produce right now. I mean edge of tomorrow is one of the best action movie I've seen in a long time

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

It is pretty funny, but probably not as funny as the sales gap will be between the XBO and PS4 versions of the game.

You mean it's funny because only Sony fans are attacking it and arguing how desperate it is.

When this gets brought up time and time again and is used to show how childish MS are, you'll STILL not understand.

The PS5 Exists.

Because they like to have fun? Isn't that what gaming is about?

They've caused a stink all over the internet. Why can't you understand what a PR mess this is for MS? Yes, gaming is about fun, but this has just taken the fun out of gaming for MS fans because MS has just handed the internet yet more shit to sling.

Why should Microsoft care what Sony fans thing though? They would never buy an Xbox anyway.

Oh man, you REALLY do think it's only Sony fans who are going to run with this don't you. This is going to spread well beyond the Sony fanbase and become yet another reason to avoid buying into MS as a company.

Negative word of mouth? It's not a good idea to give the public another reason to mock MS for their ineptitude. MS would be much better off if they didn't do it at all. That's just what I think, but this is still kinda funny.

Having fun?  Really?  When "having fun" involves violating the trademarks of your partners (and a perfume company), and voilates the agreement you have with your PARTNER, it's not fun anymore.  Not only that, but in doing this they have damaged both their credibility and the Xbox brand as a whole.  Yeah, really "fun"!

It will be interesting to see how Activision responds.  MS COULD lose their agreement with Call of Duty over this "fun".

I also wouldn't be surprised if the person who came up with this "fun" idea is out of a job now.

Because people hate good advertising campaigns? Yeah, that sounds legit...

So we know that MS are 'greedy, moneyhatting, manipulating and monopolising' and now we can add 'childish'.  My God this joke is going to do them the world of good.

Wow, you really are blowing it way out of proportion.

I dont know where you work maybe its burger king, but where I work people would quickly get fired for the type of stupidity MS just pulled.  Pissing on contracts and angering partners is not something that is tolarated in the real world no matter how clever and fun people like you may think it is.

Not surprising its MS pulling this, its as if all common sense left the building.

No, I am not "blowing it out of proportion".  MS violated the LAW with this promotion.  They probably got a cease and desist order, because the site only says "see our retailers" now.

If you don't think intellectual property rights are a big deal to game publishers (or perfume makers for that matter), you are kidding yourself.
