I hope destiny uses the azure servers as they are proven to do fine already. I don't know about the "other side" seems like it constantly gets attacked and bring down. I hope servers don't go down as this is an online only game.

I always expect the worst, so that way I'm not disappointed when everything goes to shit. As for Destiny, I'm guessing for the first day or so they might have server problems.

I expect them to crash on every platform. Online only and a worldwide release on the same day? Yeah the servers are going down.

just a fyi, they can limit the number of people connecting, it's possible to be put in to a connection queue should they need to throw on a limiter to keep the servers running.
During downtime on the beta you could connect and sit in that queue waiting for them to go live again.
