I actually really like Sims 4. I can understand why people don't like the removal of certain features like pools and toddlers but the game actually plays really well and looks gorgeous. When Sims 3 came out, you could turn all the graphical settings down to low and it would still run like crap with the amount of bugs and lag it had.

The main issue with the Sims series is the massive amount of expansions adding content to an installment makes a vanilla successive installment look terrible. After Sims 2 I learned not to jump in early and Sims 3 was great on sale bundled with some expansions.

I imagine will get Sims 4 in about 5 years after it is cheap and 3 expansions have been released.

I'm still reluctant on whether if I should buy the game or stick with The Sims 3.
