I'll definitely be getting MGS4. I've never had or played any of the MGS games before, but with everythign I have seen about this game, it just looks amazing and should be a great game. (Potentially GOTY good)

And no, I will not be buying the older games to get caught up in the story.

well they had pre orders for halo 3.

Well Halo 3 is a different story. You could've gotten that game pretty much anywhere, corner stores, radioshack, etc. It never hurts to ask Blockbuster, but I doubt they'll take pre-orders.

You don't need to, i heard that there will be somekind of flashback feature that you choose to turn it on and will fill you on the story.

What? I answered the question. I haven't played a MGS game I liked yet so I don't have a reason to get excited for this one. If my buddies like it I might get it for cheap (or perhaps borrow it) if I don't have anything else to play.

Don't feel bad. I really liked MGS but absolutely loathed 2 & 3. Those games are the reason why I'm not buying MGS4 on launch day.

number 2 sucked for me but i really liked number 3 (despite the camera angles) :/

i will be all over 4 when it comes out.
