@routso

considering SONY is taking the trouble of making it a bundle with a silver PS3

I think it must be considerably popular

The bundle is limited to a thousand units (source : kotaku)

Since no one answered routsounmanman....

Both Yakuza get around to a 350k-400k level and sell that amount again whenever a cheaper edition (ie Greatest Hits) is released.

 Thanks, outlawauron :)

@ Diomedes1976: According to Gamerankings, nearly 80% of reviewers gave Lair below a 70% in reviews. It wasn't just a couple of doofuses at Gamespot and IGN; that's a total of 45 reviewers. By comparison, only 9 reviewers gave it a score in the 70s (all of which are 75 or below), and four reviews gave it an 80 or above, including Play Magazine (lol) and three no-name websites.

I'd consider it an anomaly if only a few websites gave it bad reviews, but it's hard to argue when 45 websites and mags, including most of the big names (Gamespot, IGN, Gamespy, Eurogamer, PSM Mag, Game Trailers) review something poorly.

And, my god, I can't believe people are still defending Lair.

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."

Yet... it's controls aren't horrible, and your point is that reviewers are so imatient they aren't going to get used to controls and rate all games poorly.

So one of your points is wrong.

Actually, both of your poitns are wrong.

If you are actually having problems with Mario Galaxy's controls it's probably just because you haven't noticed that you are on spherical ground most of the time, therefore you have to judge your jups with a sphereical platform in mind, if you try to jump like you would on a flat platform you are going to screw up every time.

That's not bad control, that's just sucking.

That's the only thing I can think of that could give someone trouble in Mario Galaxy.
