There's just far too many much better racers. They'd struggle to even get into the top 50.

Ironically, Hot Pursuit haha. Criterion did one a couple of years back. Really really good! Though Most Wanted is damn good too (It's pretty much Burnout Paradise 2 with Licensed cars)

SEGA Rally was short, but by god was it sweet (handled like a dream) |
Glad to see Sega Rally getting some love! The Arcade version was good, but the refinement they did to the handling on the Saturn version makes it still my favourite racing game. The course design is sublime, and until you get to the Lakeside stage, there is only 1 corner you need to brake for if you throw your car into the corners correctly.
I'd love another Sega Rally with that handling model. The best version was the Japanese Sega Rally Plus which added analogue controller support (triggers for accel and brake) and also at the time featured online play.

If they ever do make another SEGA Rally, it has to me made by the original boys over at AM5.
That SEGA Rally reboot in 2007 by Sega Racing Studios paled in comparison to the first two games (plus extensions and refinements).

I agree entirely. Granted it was actually a pretty decent arcade racer by 7th Gen standards. But the original is king!
I think Sega Rally 2 was better in the Arcade than the original. But I actually bought a Dreamcast for Sega Rally 2, and the fact that they threw it to the wolves to "show off" Windows CE stuff just killed it :(
Burnout Paradise is my all-time favorite. I guess your not into sim racing titles so no Forza or Gran Turismo. We have a lot of great looking racing titles coming up. I am excited for The Crew and sampling Drive Club through PS Plus.
