I would be really interested to know how it has sold on dvd and online, both the tv show and movie. Because it has a huge cult following.

And yes the show and movie where awsome.

I'm pretty sure there are already a million people actively trying to make this show get picked up again, but it probably won't. We have to spread the popularity of the show and spam t.v. stations to pick up the show. Ok that might be hard, but this show really improved the quality of t.v., and it is just really messed up that it had to die. I am a sad panda.

That was kinda the point of the movie but now josh whedon has pretty much thrown in the towel and the actors have moved on to other rolls and commitments. And there was a huge campaign done by fans but fox didn't care, and all that came of it was the final push which was the movie, and scifi picking up the syndication.

Serentiy sucked. Firefly, on the other hand, was the best show FOX has ever had, by a long shot, and one of the ten best shows in the last ten years for all television. Yes, worldwide.

The series was solid, but never given a chance. Order butchered, aired in the Friday night death slot, and constantly preempted by baseball playoffs.

The DVD sales showed enough of a loyal fanbase to gamble on the film, which they did promote heavily, and yet it failed, badly, despite solid reviews from non-scary people.

While the movie DVD did well, that wouldn't be enough to convince anyone to move ahead with more, since that gamble would, essentially, be the one they just took and crapped out on.

But JW has a new tv series in the works, and while I miss Firefly, and Buffy and Angel, I will have another series to look foward to FOX fucking up.

1) It don't beat The Wire.

2) I would be interested in hearing your thoughts on the film. I don't agree to it sucking, but it did have unsatisfying flaws.
