Forums - Gaming - EA's ruining video games as we know it

http://www.n4g.com/industrynews/NewsCom-115873.aspx?CT=1#Comments

If this ever happens im done with gaming. EA's trying to get every company it seems like (I think there trying to get enough to start there own console). If EA does get Take2 say goodbye to Manhunt. Plus look forward to a new GTA every year with everything the same and a different story. It might just be me but doesnt it seem like everything EA touches it ruins?

Wasen't their already a new GTA every year? With the Stories on PSP and such.

No...

GTA: 1997
GTA2: 1999
GTA3: 2001
GTAVC: 2002
GTASA: 2004
GTA4: 2008

GTALCS: 2005
GTAVCS: 2006

I dont really count the portable ones because they were made by different people. It was still a Rockstar company but not the ones that make the awesome games.

ah kk,

I'm going to have to disagree with you. EA does not have the power or market share needed to kill gaming. Nintendo is much more of a threat right now. EA is 2nd, in my opinion.

Please stop posting the same old news over and over again. We get it, EA is trying to grow and companies that it buys tend to make less creative products. Look at PS2 game sales, clearly the majority of PS2 gamers disagree with your elitist views.

What do you mean? Are you saying people disagree because they bought EA games? Some how all EA does it build hype on a game and bring crap. Oh that and there sports franchises which makes them billions each year.

I still have high hopes (as far as EA games go) for Army of Two. I'm not sure it will be an excellent game, but it does look like I might at least rent it.

@Riot Of The Blood
But nintendo is not trying to buy any studios they just keep the money for themselves(god knows for what.)
