Forums - Gaming - Assassin's Creed Unity May Run At 720p On The PS4

Do you care if turns out to be true?

Yes 100 36.10%

No 123 44.40%

Hell yeah ammo for xbox nation!!! 54 19.49%

Total:277

Same thing happened with Amazing Spider Man 2, listed 720p but then turned out to be 1080p
though seeing as how Ubi is piss poor with optimization Unity will probably be 900p like Watch Dogs

Gotta love those gamingbolt clickbaits though. One of the classiest websites around.

This has to be a misunderstanding. Unless they're doing that stupid parity thing again.

Yah because other than people assuming stuff this "parity" thing prevented a lot of games to be at 1080p on the PS4 while running at 720p on the Xbox One... We saw so many example of this, good reason to be afraid, right?

And guess what? It won't look much different at all than it would at 1080p.

People conveniently forget that in real life, it is extremely hard to notice a major difference between upscaled 1080p and native 1080p, as long as the game is upscaled well.

If Ubisoft has to put the game at 900p or even 720p to bring the best experience possible, they should, and let the fans whine later.

Xbox One - PS4 - Wii U - PC

Maybe that's just the online mode.

Anyway I doubt they will manage 1080p/60 unless that new engine is made out of magic. AC4 may have had 1080p but the framerate was atrocious. If they just fix that I'm fine enough for now.

They probably forget that because it's not true.

I can't see that being likely unless they're trying to hit a locked 60fps target or something silly. ACU looks great (especially their mass NPC stuff), but i can't see any reason why it would need to be as low as 720p while something like I:SS can sustain 1080p with great AA.

That said, this is Ubisoft we're talking about here... They couldn't even get Watch Dogs to run higher than 900p/720p.

I wish what you said was true. I own a Wii U and it's telling if even the comic graphics of the mario games make the difference obvious. I don't want to see a realistic game with fist sized pixels. I don't wan to live last gen.

His middle line is actually correct. If you upscale 1080p to 1080p then it looks almost identical to 1080p.
