im gonna say in america itll be very close until the mgs 4 bundle comes out, after which i expect ps3 to take the lead forever in america because after mgs4 resistance 2, killzone 2 , and little big planet will keep the console selling very strong once mgs4 sales slow down. and this is basically just based on the hype for each game, even if they arent all great (which i expect them to be).

edit: I'm just talking about ps3 and 360. 

Dunno. A lot can happen. It depends on how supply contrained MS really is right now. If they manage to get the channel filled again, the 360 could take a lead next week. If the supply is barely constrained, it could be until a price cut. If Sony also cuts the price, who knows?

Way too many unknown variables to accurately predict something like this.

Not much longer. It will stay close most of the generation, but 360 will beat it out in America.

so youre saying that the ps3 outselling the 360 depends on in game xmb....

i think ps3 is gona move into a strong second place in the next year or two. that means for every region, although i dont think it will catch 360 in us overall. other than big releases or price cuts, its gona be hard for ms to get back on top.

As you've all heard, Sony/PS3 has a great roadmap for 2008, and if the PS3 can beat the 360 in its homeland without any major releases, or updates, I'd say for the entire year maybe with the exception of a week or two, the PS3 will outsell the 360 in Others, and Japan (of course). I also predict the PS3 to outsell the 360 in America for atleast 33 of the 42ish weeks left in the year.

I'd say at least 2 more weeks. then I'd say it rotates from there. maybe PS3 wins then 360 the next week, then PS3, etc.

I believe as of now it all depends of how many wants a game system plus Blu-ray player. (360 is still ahead when it comes to games) No doubt the Blu-ray is getting more publicity since it victory over HD-DVD which in turn boost the PS3 sales in USA. More people becoming aware of the huge quality difference between Blu-ray vs upscaled DVD.

That`s a good question but I think it will be more up and down than anything.
