Forums - Gaming - soo... when are the games coming out?

ive been patiently waiting this year for.. something to happen really. a few things happened, but im just wondering.. is this what we should expect in future years? think about how horrible this year has been guys, its ridiculous.

infamous second son

titan fall

dkctf

mario kart 8

watchdogs

thief

tomb raider: fraud edition (term coined by reviewtechusa)

...

it really has just been a horrible first year for these consoles. am i alone in this?  whats even sadder is that what we are looking forward to in the near future are remasters and destiny. i know there is smash bros too, but i have a feeling that game is going to be par for the course (which means its going to be a great game, but id like to see more evolution in the smash series).

is anyone with me, or am i going to be ridiculed and then have a bunch of sony fans downvote my videos again? im guessing the latter, but we will see i suppose. i just wanted to share my discontent with how things are going this year, and i swear i see too many people who are cool with it.

Yeah I guess AC:U, Far Cry 4, DA:I, COD:AW, Bayonetta 2, Hyrule Warriors are nothing.

Great lineup for a launch year and it's going to be even better next year.

there, thats a more reasonable list. i took out all the shovelware. and really, you are going to include DLC? that doesnt count as a game, thast absolutely ridiculous. also, some of those games have been delayed.

but really, my post was more about the first six months of the year and how unacceptable it was.

no doubt i missed a few, but as i told the other poster, this thread is mainly about how unacceptable the first six months were. also, i wouldnt really consider cod and ac... i dont know... real heavy hitters. i mean, who is actually excited for those? just my opinion of course, but it seems that they are games that people pick up every year mindlessly just because. its not that theyre must haves, theyre just.. cod and ac.. every november. nothing really that special.

how many games did we get for wiiu in its first 6 months?

it really has just been a horrible first year for these consoles.

*sigh*

Have you been around in previous gens? My guess is not.

No you are not alone with this - all the kiddies who are early adopters for the first time, and hence don't understand that this is normal, feel the same as you.

I truly hope this outlook isn't the same for most gamers out there. It just seems like a jaded and entitled view of this year's outing. I understand that it's not a banner year for gaming, but it's not bleh. It's fair, considering that it's year 1 for Sony and microsoft and year 2 for Nintendo.

The triple As are coming buddy, they're coming.

First - The title of the thread is "soo... when are the games coming out?" --- I have provided you the list as an answer to the question.

Second - I don't care what you crossed out, all those are legitimate games being released on 5 relevant platforms of interest. The very fact that you decided to cross of 95% of the games just shows your limited taste in games, and that cannot be attributed to the lack of them. All the games on the list are reasonable.

Third - I haven't included anything. Unless you failed to notice, I gave the source of a legitimate website/gaming magazine. True, it s a few weeks old and a couple of games have been delayed since. Also, as for DLC, all I could find is one (Infamous), and that one is a stand-alone title released on retail disc.

Fourth - Then change the title to "First six months of the year were unacceptable"

Hopefully, you can find some games on the list you haven't crossed out yet, but as you see there is much more than just remasters, Destiny and Smash Bros.  Much much more.

i dunno, like 8?

with the ps4 though,  i thought we were going to be getting all kinds of games because of the supposed shorter development cycle like there was during the ps1 and the ps2. that is what he told us, isnt it?
