Forums - Sony - one small thing I don't get about the psn store.

What I don't like is when they changed the design of the PSN store about a year ago. It loads noticably slower. I prefer how it was before, but I don't really spend too much time in the store so it's not a big deal.

I liked the old design too.  I understand why they changed it, wanted to distance themselves from the old store after the hacking fiasco and add a coat of gloss to make it more appealing aesthetically, however the change made it an unwieldy beast.  In the old setup I could find whatever I was looking for in seconds, now the search function is like trying to dictate the notes of someone in traction who can only communicate through a series of blinks.

Holy pizza sticks is this the truth.  I dread even going there, even if theres something I want.  I used to just browse the store for fun but now it's a slog through slow loading menus that hold you up forever, and you still don't find anything.

Why the lack of demos. You'd think there would be a demo for every single game. There's only demos for a small fraction of the games on the store. I just don't understand this. It would be a whole lot easier just playing the demo, then having to look up game videos and research the game. Sales would also, probably increase if there was a demo for every game. I would think this would be more important for indie games, then any thing else. thoughts?

Because demo in turn will cost them money. People would be more likly to buy a game without a demo if they think it looks good then to download a demo if there is one and find out it isn't good which would then mean they wouldn't buy it. Yes some peopole might not buy it unless they can try it but there would be more than would buy it to try than people that wouldn't. Also it then takes time to make the demo and space to have the demo available.

Demos can be a turn off like the Wonderful 101.

But one thing that do suck on PSN is no in-store wish list.

Much easier to do full game trial with PS+ subscription. No extra work by developer and a simple timer patch put on the game to stop play once the time limit has been reached. And PS+ sub helps pay for that tiny cost of putting the time limit patch on the game.

That's nothing new and it is the same for every console and not a PS store problem.
