I replayed Final Fantasy VII recently and it still kicks ass. That being said, I wouldn't mind your option of changing the backgrounds to HD art but like Ka-pi said I'd be against any changes to the gameplay.

Then alot of you guys here are going to be disappointed when FF7 remake does happen as it will not retain any its ps1 form. I also believe that you guys dont know what a "remake" is. A remake is to take something and redo it with modern technology and design sensitivities.

FF7 is still a enjoyable game but drastically outdated in everway shape and form. You better believe that when ff7 remake happens it will be treated as if it is the next mainline FF. ( I believe they already said that)

Btw ... When was the last time high budget jrpg used prerendered backrounds( A workaround for tech limtation)
