 Actually it matters what state you live in. Here in PA where you and I live you could get a job at 14 but the problem is getting somebody to hire you.  I gave up trying to find a job but now I just merchant on ebay and get alot of money a month. I could buy 4-5 games a month now because of merchanting. Its not easy though. I also do some things like surveys at cashcrate and blogs. Its not hard to make money online. Its still hard work and time consuming though. What is wrong with used games? ITs the same thing but you just get a cheaper deal and people played it before. I recommend used games  just make sure they are in good condition. Renting a short game is good too.

I will encourage my kids to work when they want something (of course not when they are 8 though).

Soriku I was in the same situation as you ,only that a lot of my friends love video games so we borrow each other games so we can all play them don’ t you have any friend who can lend you a game?

At example of 20-yrs-old losers this thread is so full of, gaming much in high school doesn't offset you well. You seem to have good and caring parents, Soriku, so I advise you to be happy with them. Enjoy your wii when you have a special event, and get a life any nother day. Or, you could discover world of freeware / indie games, try cave story, for example, or teewars.
