I own the PS3 version, it's on the shelf right beside me... still in its wrapper since I only paid £12 for it in like February or something...

tl;dr if this is true, I'll be buying it for sure!

You should play the 12 GBP version before you decide to pay 40 on thtoe same game. Maybe you dont like it.

I know it's possibly a controversial opinion but that's a bit of a harsh response.

Also I consider pressing a button to continue a game that, for the most part, is playing itself akin to unpausing a DVD.  Not a feature worth being a game for.  I'm talking games like 999 where the DSs dual screens enhanced that games twists or Bioshocks twist.  Games also like Spec Ops: The Line.  Beyond: Two Souls could easily have been a DVD.

there are different endings in Beyond Two Souls. how is that the same as pausing a DVD?  what you do has an effect on the outcome of the game. i cant explain it more than that.

was he the bloke who wrote heavy rain?

if so, i dont think he is that bad of a writer...

Adding content to this game actually makes it less appealing to me.

why?

you arent even aware of what is in the extra content. why so much hostility?

Barely anything I did had an effect on that game.  I went through a second time not even trying in the fight scenes and nothing changed.  You select your ending from essentially a menu system.  You must admit it was a severe downgrade from the choices in Heavy Rain.  I have to say that I did actually enjoy Heavy Rain even if I hated the story by the end of it for not really making sense.  But at least I had an effect.  The endings weren't gifted to me.  I properly earnt them.

Looks like you missed a lot. The fight scenes are not where you make the decisions. The long chase scene does change considerably depending on what you do. You can choose to live or die, die earlier yourself, choose to save or let die 6 characters, what more do you want...

Surprised that Heavy Rain isn't being remastered instead of Beyond since I think the former is much better. Beyond was good, but Heavy Rain was on a whole other level.

Sony really wants people who avoided the PS3 to play they top budget games now that they are with the PS4.

Yea its great for people like me who never owned a ps3. It kind of sucks for the people who already played these games on ps3.

People don't realize that they can just don't buy it if they already had it with the PS3...
I don't know why the hate, it's a great deal to people who missed it, and a opportunity to have a better version to people who loved it.

I think the main issue is these devs are being pulled away from future games to work on these remasters. I doubt the whole Last of Us team is being pulled in for the remaster but I'm sure some are.

ND already said only small team with few people are working on this port and lion share of the team working on Uncharted.

Yep so that's why people are probably mad that small team could be working on something else or helping to speed up other projects. Basically it slows the release of other games down in one way or another. I have no issue with it because I really really really wanted to play both The last of us and beyond two souls. I was willing to play them on PSnow but this is a way better scenario.

Because of my backlog and lack of time, it works great for me that these previously released games are getting an "upgraded next-gen" treatment. I just makes the PS4 more appealing, and it allows me to eventually experience the better version of a game.

WTF. This was not a good game.  It is somewhat of a stretch to actually call this a "video game".  I know some people liked it and opinions and all that, but I see zero reason why this should be remastered.  At least TLOU was a pretty good game.
