Forums - Sony - I kinda want a PS3

rock band

If you like God of War style games Heavenly Sword is a good addition, as is Ninja Gaiden Sigma.

The Japanese game support is one of the PS3's strongest features, specifically MGS4, FFXIII, Valkyria Chronicles (amazing looking RPG tactics game), Yakuza 3, Disgaea 3, just to name a few.

I was very happy with the jump from PS2 to PS3, but backwards compatibility will cost you a little and unfortunately you can't use your PS2 guitar on the PS3 :(

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

There will also be some really strong support for MMO action-RPGish style games coming along too in the form of the Sony Online Entertainment MMO exclusives and the NCSoft MMO exclusives.

I have no clue if you can transfert your saves back to the PS2 memory card after playing on the PS3 though but I don't know why anyone would want to do that.

You can since a recent FW update.

Yeah and if you like RPGs Oblivion is great

Shooting games are pretty good, especially with local 4player multiplayer.

HAze has that. Supposed to come out soon. Don't know if it's any good, but it looks promising.

PSN name: Gazz1979 (feel free to add me, but please put your Vgchartz name in the message!)

Battlefield 2: Gazz1979

I love my ps3...

If you like Action RPG's, check out Oblivion, Dark Kingdom, & Folklore (more of an action/adventure).

Other games that are out that are great:
DMC4, Rock Band, Ratchet & Clank, Uncharted, Heavenly Sword (but short), Warhawk, Unreal Tournament 3...

The big thing though is the games that are going to be coming out this year. The ps3 has a stellar line-up for 08.
