Oh I didn't knew.
Double kudos to you then. Another PS gamer in the world xD

I hope it is a boy and follow my footprints, but I'll walk him through games history. He will graduate on Atari, NES, SNES, MD, PS1, 2 and 3 (in order) before touching my ps4. He must understand the joy of failing continuoualy on games with simple graphics, ingenious and hard gameplay and naive purity of content.

Don't you dare forget the Master System! Was the system I grew up with
But even if it's a girl, you need to introduce her to gaming, it's a beautiful world that everyone can join xD

I hadn't played much Master System, still ned to buy it for my collection... the baby will even play DC, Saturn, N64, GC and Wii but not mandatory... oww she will play if a girl, rooting for a boy for the non-gaming activities.

So go and buy one, it have wonderful games.
Also, seems like you'll prevent the kid to touch MS related stuff... hahahaha.

I'll, just waiting to find the original model to buy... not preventing, I just never bought a MS system and don't intend to, so if he/she wants to play a MS system will have to go to my brother or sister house or buy one with his own money... I have been buying my VGs with my own money since my 15s (in Brazil), my father just gave us a Atari 2600 and a Genesis, both used and already last gen or on the verge =] good times when I was 13 (1998) and didn't even knew PS existed since 94 because of lack of internet and Tecnology being late on the country so I was really happy with my games not knowing there were really better stuff on the Market (my first game on PS was at the house of a friend, Tekken, found the control really strange. Second game was GT and was love in first sight at my cousins home... so much that I started saving the money of a lot of things to buy my first PS, expend around US$ 350,00 in 2000 to by a PS1 with 10 pirated games, 2 controls and 1 Memory Card)... then 2005 I bought my PS2 (around US$ 700,00 same kind of package) because the PS1 wasn't reading my discs anymore and 2009 mine PS3 (ps2 were failing a lot and I was in my first job, thank to my wife - gf at the time - being on Canadá for language study I could buy it for like US$ 500,00 with Uncharted 160Gb bundle and around 8 or 10 original games). The first console I managed to buy on the launch window was my PS4, but since there isn't much games that I want on it (much less for 60 bucks a piece) I bought just Infamous for it.... it will be a long road... all the other systems I bought really cheap from friends or stores.

Omg I am so glad it's a shooter because we don't see enough Resident Evil, Battlefield, Call of Duty, Splinter Cell, and a bunch of indies every year!

XBOX ONE/Wii U/3DS/PC

I did buy my PS1 in 2001 for USD 200,00 (I'm also brazilian, and in that time was more like 170 USD or like, because it was really high, I paid R$ 400).
And yours just did make to 5 years of use? I'm still using mine to play The Legend of Dragoon to this day, 13 years old and still strong and working xD.

Paid 500,00... let's say I abused it a lot... had 100 botleged games and used gameshark a lot at the time, so my laser got dealigned and I preffered to buy PS2 than to restore it (I was young and dumb) and gifted it to my brother-in-law.
