hello friends  i am thinking to remember a game

i am not sure if it was ps1 or ps2 game  but i remember highly polished graphics so it was probably ps2. 

game was about arena combat

it was like figthing game  but not tradinatoal ones

if i was describing it was like Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks battle mode but areas was a lot bigger  so it was like 3D fighter like MK Shaolin Monk battle mode but a lot bigger there was upper side of arenas  right side you could escape a lot directions not like MKSM

i am not sure but i remember you can use weapons too(not sure if only weapons only game or you could use them).

it was probably japaneese game because i remember some asian themed stages(maybe not japanese game only asian themed stages)

you could fall from stages( like 3D smash bros but  main objective was not knockout )

i really want to find that game please help me

when you say battle mode do you mean like player vs player?

It would help if you could describe some of the characters.

you could play 2 player. or single if you want

i dont remember if game had any campaign.

Powerstone 1 and 2?  They're on Dreamcast but were ported over to the PSP.

I've never played Shaolin Monks, but the description sounds like Powerstone sortof.

i really cant remember characters .
not even sure character was unique but some details that i remember
-gameplay was really unique. sometimes you could fight like monster hunter style(combat)
-stages were so big.
say like there are 4-5 part of stage you could fall from upper part of stage to another platform . you could climb that again
-i slighlty remember something like buttons in stages (maybe stage hazard? maybe it was wrong not sure)

that really reminded me but i am not sure if game had that cartoonny characters

iam not sure but iwas like more mature of this game(maybe a clone of this game)

 and i didnt own Dreamcast. 

i am %100 sure it was PS1 or PS2. Highly PS2

Ehrgeiz then?  *edit*  Nvm.  You can't fall off stages.  Sounds like Soul Calibur then like Serious_frusting below me mentioned if it's a traditional fighting game.  I was thinking something obscure.  I didn't think to think of one of the more common fighters.

From what you have put I am thinking along the lines of the mortal kombat games on ps2 not named shaolin monks. If it were a mortal kombat game though i am sure you would remember.

Have you checked out the soul calibur games?
The ps2 games have environments where you can knock your opponent off.
