I encourage you to finish it Michael. I consider it one of the very best hack 'n slash games ever made. The combat system is deep, varied, and incredibly fun to master. The boss battles are cleverly designed and visually arresting. It has a great sense of style and humor, and it has huge replay value. The only cons are some recycled enemies toward the end and some melodramatic storytelling, but otherwise it's a terrific game.

anything nintendo makes would be spinned by it's fans into the best thing since slice bread no matter how terrible.

How insightful you are.

I'll take that as a compliment.

"Dr. Tenma, according to you, lives are equal. That's why I live today. But you must have realised it by now...the only thing people are equal in is death"---Johann Liebert (MONSTER)

"WAR is a racket. It always has been.

It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives"---Maj. Gen. Smedley Butler

Well crap, if they want me to spend full price, they need to make a more appealing game!  I'm not going to spend $60 bucks on a game that I'm not that excited about...  Both w101 and bayonetta were bad investments in my opinion...

What would have been good investments ?

Something more appealing?  Hard to say without knowing what was on the table.  If we are talking about future m rated games that I am interested in, then I would say games like witcher 3, dragon age, division, far cry, etc.  however, I doubt any of them were in play for nintendo.

Im hyped for Bayonetta 2 because of the Wonderful 101.

As long as the combat has similar depth and difficulty, I will probably enjoy it. The story being juvenile or bad doesn't matter, it's the case for the vast majority of games and storytelling is not the reason I play them.

All those are multiplatforms games that would most likely end up as a inferior port on the Wii U. I think it's better for Nintendo to invest in quality exclusives.

Games don't have good stories. Read a book or watch a good movie if you care about that sort of stuff.

I like bayonetta not for the story, not for the boobs, I even hate the characters... I just like it for the gameplay, it's for me the true sequel to devil may cry. and I'm hyped for bayonetta 1 on wiiu because the framerate on ps3 just SUCKED.
