Forums - Gaming - XBOX ONE: when sold after new version?

The XBOX ONE had a price drop on 9 June, or better, new version without Kinect at 100 $/€ less...

My question is: how sell XBOX ONE on week after the new version?

honestly, i don't think much more of now...

VGChartz had made much update recentily of XBOX ONE.

If before for VGChartz it sold 70,000-90,000 on week, now, XBOX ONE sell only 40,000-50,000...

Much people say "but this because people expect the new versione for buy XBOX ONE..."

Really?

The new version it annunced on 13 May...

Looking this week:

http://www.vgchartz.com/weekly/41770/Global/

nobody knew that the new version... BUT XBOX ONE SOLD MUCH POOR, only 44,000!

And add that VGChartz increase the XBOX ONE number... for NPD XBOX ONE sold much less.

So, i wonder if after the new version XBOX ONE start to sell good... but i don't think.

IMHO, June-July-Augost is a are the month when the console and games sell less.

Honestily, i don't think that XBOX ONE can sold more of 60,000 on week...Maybe only 50,000...Obvius, the first week sold more(more of 100,000 the week of 14 June WW), but on July and Augost yes.

I creed that XBOX ONE start to sell good only on september, thanks coming in new county, and because coming Destiny, and FIFA, on October AC, and in November COD, Master Chief Collection ecc, for one good December... and and return to sell short on Genuary-Febrary.

So, for me XBOX ONE will sold 60,000 on week after the new version, and for you?

120k for the week of the new version, 90k + until it released in 55 more countries. 100k baseline for the rest of its life

I dont' konw when price drop comin in Europe...

HWR i think in USA:
80,000 14 June

60,000 21 June

55,000 28 June

And in USA have constancy of 40,000-45,000. In Europe first week 30,000 and have constancy of 15,000-18,000.

Well, so far in May the PS3 sold almost as much (sometimes a little more) than the XB1...

My expectation is that many people pre-ordered the kinect free xb1, so on the second week of June there will be some kind of sales bump, maybe it will get close to the PS4 numbers for a week, then go back in it's place just a little above PS3 numbers...

Honestly, since Titanfall released I think the hype around the console is un-recoverable, I don't see this machine selling above 50k a week on a regular basis, ever... maybe close to 100k on big release dates (Halo remake, Sunset Overdrive, Halo 5, etc.) ... si it will have GameCube or og xbox level of sales.

The only market where it will be competitive is North America, maybe the UK and obviously in Brasil nobody will buy an 1800$ PS4 (I would not)!

For the week of the price drop, and maybe even the month... expect sales to be higher. After 1 month it will go back to what it used to be. maybe +5-10k weekly.

Unlike most, I really don't think $100 was what stopped people from buying an XB1, especially not at this stage in the generation. Right now the bulk of buyers are early adopters and the well informed. Even at $400 the PS4/XB1 has not reach mass market prices. That won't happen till when they both hit $299 and more when they hit $199.

Right now, the PS4 isn't selling better because its(was) cheaper.... it sold better simply cause it was the better console. It would take the XB1 to be at $100 less than the cost of the PS4 for people to ignore that the PS4 is the better console and just go for the cheaper one. But that will never happen cause sony will never allow the XB1 be cheaper than the PS4.

I think XBOX ONE will compete with PS4 in USA, probabily 40,000(XO) VS 50,000(PS4) in this year, but for me in 2015, and 2016 PS4 will sold much of XO even in USA...

not sure on this one, i read an article about how Gamestop says they are flying off the shelves but they are still everywhere around here and from what people I know that work at them, they told me they are selling just like they always were. (this is technically EB games though as I am in Canada.

For 2, maximum 3 week... then return to sell little more of now...
