Forgot to mention that the PS4 just looks better designed. The XB1 design looks amateur. The Kinect's front profile is about as big as the PS4.  It's not the biggest reason, but just one more thing that made PS4 come out shining last E3.

X1 looks like an 80's vvr, is huge, has a massive power brick, it screams poor design.

Show me a pic of an 80's VCR.  I kinda forget what they look like.

Do you really think Sony branding power is that strong? Or are you talking about just the games division? Don't get me wrong, Sony makes good products but I think they are overpriced.

Only the games division, yes. Sony as a whole is not that strong.

Using your reason, then why isn't that brand power lifting the vita? You are overestimating the power of the name

Because they haven't done anything to save the Vita. It's like you said, they spent a lot of money to save the PS3, but just can't be bothered with the Vita.

Like I said, brand won't magically turn things around for any product. But it helps. A LOT.

The biggest reason is a tie between 100 bucks less and MS's initial PR decisions. Once a couple years pass and prices are similar and the weight of the terrible choices MS made in release announcements which forced 180's are forgotten, sales numbers will grow closer. Probably much closer.

How? That would mean x1 would have to start outselling ps4..it won't, thet gap will always grow, just more slowly and then more quickly. Why do you act like sony won't ever drop the price or do thins to spur sales?

No I defintely think Sony will do that.  I kind of spoke unclear.  I meant ongoing sales numbers being closer after that point is reached, not overall or any kind of outselling.

price is a good point that i havent mentioned. consoles do have to be competitively priced.

It's the better console

so the best console always sells the most? lol. id say most of the time it does, but in this scenario, i really dont see how the ps4 isnt the weakest out of the three. what are you supposed to do with the damn thing? haha.

PS4 has the best next-gen console exclusive which is ISS. I think that and its upcoming exclusives are good enough reasons to buy a PS4.

Btw what are you supposed to do with a Wii U? So far it is pretty much a Mario console.

Also what does X1 have? It does not have the ftp titles that are there on PS4, it does not have FF XIV: ARR, it does not have the powerful hardware of the PS4. Unless you are a fan of Forza or TF or are waiting a lot for Halo 5 their aren't many reasons to upgrade to an X1. Yearly XBL subscription is also more expensive than yearly PS+ subscription.

If getting the better version of third party games, not relying on some fail gimmick to sell and being the most powerfull of all three while being at an affordable price being the weakest, well the PS4 is weak as fuck

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.
