Not likely. Maybe talk of some DLC.
It is near the end of the end....

If the sequel comes out for holiday 2015 (around late Oct or Nov), this would only be 1.5 year follow-up. I don't think the sequel will come out in an off-period in Spring again. It's either for holiday 2015 or holiday 2016. I think Holiday 2016 would be too long though, considering that this is an EA game.

EA doesnt make the game nor do they own the ip, so the amount of say they have on the games release and development cycle is very minimal. I very much doubt it will be a quick turnaround like you suggest. For the first titanfall, respawn used a modified version of the source engine, mostly because they wanted something easy that would be adapatable to various hardware configurations. I'm guessing they will want to focus on next gen only next time, and source engine isnt the best option for that. That means they either find a new middleware engine or create a new custom engine. Considering these are the guys that helped develop the call of duty engine, I'm guessing they are going to want to do a new custom engine.
Point is, it isnt going to be a simple reuse of most of their assets. They are going to have to develope more tools in order to compete on the next gen consoles (or current gen I should say). 1.5 year development time is way too small for a studio that size. 2 to 2.5 years sounds right. So 2016 for titanfall 2 is my guess.
