Mother of god, Evolution's attention to detail is unprecedented. I'm so glad that Evolution is somewhat competing against Polyphony Digital despite that DC is an arcade racer. It sets the bar really high and will motivate PD to try to top what Evolution has achieved. Can't wait to see the final product of DC and obviously, GT7.

As much as I love those small details I'd rather see Polyphony focus on their driving, more different cars, AI and the career system. Polyphony never dissapoint but the more I read into the level of details they put in DC the more I think they should've spent more time with what's relevant and that's the cars and handling... sure the environment is important but at some point, some details become useless... was this game delayed to add wet leaves and 3D clouds? Will these make it a better game with only 50 cars? I mean, maybe a little more talk on the handling and less on the subtle graphics would be appreciated... I hope at E3 we will see more of what the gameplay is about than how many trees there are in the mountain.

Don't take this as a rant, more like questions that needs to be answered before talking about those small details. My bro is getting a PS4 next month and I will be interested in buying games, but if the handling and career mode are lacking, no amount of details will push me to purchase when the title will be given for free.

Driceclub isn't made by Polyphony Digital.  Driveclub is made by Evolution Studios.

Forza 5 cut a lot of corners. Cardboard crowds, baked lighting, and lack of anti-aliasing. Mario Kart 8 runs at 720p (still looks great, though). As for Gran Turismo, we haven't had a current-gen Gran Turismo yet.

if some people prefer 30fps and better graphics, it's up to them

personally i think it's crap and I am glad that the best franchises agree with me

I see no point in this (and many others like it).

it looks good.

It would have looked exactly the same if they handled it like in every other racing game. This one specifically seems very pointless.

no it wouldn't. that's the point and why they did it.

Personally, Forza 5 is an insult to the Forza franchise, especially how much it downgraded from the E3 2013 build. At the end of the day, Driveclub is an arcade racer, not a sim like Forza and GT. Need For Speed Rivals was 1080p @ 30 fps. Heck, even Forza Horizon 2 is 1080p @ 30 fps. Looks like not all the best franchises agree with you, I'm afraid...

Also, cut down the quote trees. Mods don't like big quote trees. : )

This might push me into buying a ps4. I bought an xb1 for forza and was horrified with the end result at every level. I've come to the conclusion that Microsoft should just bite the bullet and set 720p as the standard for exclusives. It will allow roughly double the detail in a game. Shooting for 1080 just ensures too much compromise in aa/details. And don't get me started on the misleading e3/talk show builds running on gtx 780ti/i7 12-thread behemoths complete with raid ssds and 32gb of ram.

I expect more bullshots this e3 from Microsoft, as they pretty much got away without the major gaming press calling them out on that. For all we know Sony will come with bullshots as well, though last e3 didn't seem to have them AFAIK.

you are very smart, i am convinced by your point of view now

you made me sorry I ever thought 60 fps was available or even achievable for console racing games

Did i hurt your feelings or something? I must've for you to get personal like that. I would be sorry if i was you, for your baiting comments contribute little to this forum.

again, you are right, i am heartbroken

i never thought the internet was so full of facts and good people willing to defend them

let it be known that you were right and i was wrong as 60 fps racing games on consoles is all but a dream

next time i will be like you, contributing hard facts such as "You can't find 60fps racers on console anyways" so that people learn from my mistake

The attention to details is insane, graphics is insane !  No way even for PS4 to have all this at 1080p/60fps in the 1st year of PS4 life !

The Game looks marvellous, and all is so dynamic. Can't wait.

You do a poor job of making sarcasm sound effective, not when it's plain that you've been agitated. Myself and others have already pointed out how non sensical your first claim was. You can keep defending it, but without arguments they'll stay the empty claims they were. Calling somebody else "correct" and "smart" shows that you have nothing to say back, yet feel embarrassed for being coreected in such a way.

I thought so. Maybe you could name one otherwise..

Forza, Mario Kart and Gran Turismo

Now call a few arcade racers with 60 fps!

Once you entered you won't be the same anymore. A blog about life.
