Stop it everyone! Stop complaining about Polygon already. I am talking about this article to be more precise:

There is no need to attack Brad Cuntchera for his opinion. He makes a lot of good points, you just don't understand him.
1- Mario Kart 8 might be selling amazingly but it's likely going to be the worst-sellling game in the existence of the series.
If we check sales from the other Mario Kart games and look at the graphs from the link I provided above we can safely conclude that what Polygon said is going to be true in the end. Mario Kart 8 started strong but the Wii U is going to cut it's legs short.
2- More players than ever means more sales than ever!
As the article points there are more players than ever before. We have the Xbox 360, the Xbox One, the PS4, the PS3 and PC. We can't deny that there is a lot of people playing videogames these days, so taking this kind of thing into account we can conclude that more players = more sales. And that's what Nintendo needs to capitalize. Send Mario to everyone! Let the whole world know that Mario exists! It is actually a good idea, and you guys don't get it, I am with Cuntchera on this one.
3- "The only option Nintendo has given us to pick up Super Mario Galaxy 2, an amazing game, is to track down a Wii and a used copy, and play in standard definition. What a waste."
I feel the pain Brad. Having to track down a Wii and buy a used copy of Super Mario Galaxy 2 is the only way to play this game. Even worse is if you want to play Super Mario Sunshine. Nintendo should make this kind of thing available for digital download. Send those games to the PSN or Xbox Live, spread the love Nintendo, don't keep it to yourself.
4- "Imagine what would happen if one day everyone, with any high-definition console, could play Nintendo’s best Mario games and have them look better than they ever have."
Because the most important part in the end... is playing games in HD.
5- "When you have the best games in the business and nowhere to release them, it may be time to start looking outside of your own ecosystem."

It is an opinion article everyone, just accepti it and deal with it. There is no such thing as "a flawed opinion".
So stop complaing about Polygon everyone and let them work!
